What is this Warwick buff on the PBE?

(Q) Jaws of the Beast: AP Ratio from 0.9 to 1.0

Apart from the fact that if you really want to help Warwick you need to fix his bugs (W bugs especially), apart from that, in what way is this going to help Warwick? He doesn't build any AP, like none and even if he somehow ends up having SOME AP in whatever way it won't be enough AP for this to matter.

This also wont let WW start building AP on-hit with Nashors Tooth and Rageblade.

So I don't understand this buff this is legit so useless, it's like buffing Nocturnes passive AP ratio what is the point?

He's at a 51% winrate...Probably just a very slight buff to on-hit builds.

Not going to do much, sure, but he doesn't really need much either.

I'm a 1 million mastery Platinum Ww since season 4.

Warwick is currently shit on top of full of bugs and I stopped to play him.

The heal buff on q was nice, but not what he needed.

I am struggling to understand Riot: they really want to force player to build tank, and max w first. Like in the patch note they said "you still max w first". And when they nerfed q damage, there reasoning was "we want player to max w first".

So their balance force player to build full tank, and maxing w. (or at least, that's what they want).

Now they increase q heal% and AP ratio.

But I am sorry Riot: there IS a champion building AP and being tanky with more CC than Ww: Sylas. Sylas If you want Ww AP to be even decent compared to AP Sylas, you have a lot to do.

Just buff his ult already. It's an overkill button at this point. It's too slow and the range is too low to justify it's cooldown and how easy it is to stop/dodge

WW built BASICALLY only tank with very few people building on hit right now.

Riot lets buff his ap builds that are not real and no one wants.

WW could actually use some buffs too, I think he is ok right now but there is basically no reason to pick him over others so a buff would be pretty nice and we also have not seen him in the meta for a while like there has been one time where he was actually op and was a top jg but the rest of his life was he is there not bad but not op just ok.

There is already so much hate towards the balance team and especially with the patch. So why the hell is riot wasting time on a pointless buff are they trying to make people lose faith more in them.

I think it's meant to be a buff to top lane WW but still it's a slap in the face when he has several bugs that need attention. What's worse is, said bugs, are literally what are keeping him low tier.

There's reasons for ad champs having ap ratios. Usually it comes down to making baron better on then without making ad items better or somewhat hybrid items better (old Trinity force, current rageblade to name some examples) also some niche items become better (we did have redemption olaf in lcs). It's also a lanewick buff if that still exists where you start d ring.

Please fix the bugs, W is fried. I'll run back to base when their low mid and walk mid when they're low in mid. You could be auto path to attack them and you'll walk, instead of the W passive run. A joke

All I can think of is that this buffs him when hes under the effects of Baron Nashor or Infernal. Got no idea. Guess we'll have to wait to see the context notes.

2 million mastery on Warwick here...

  1. I say all the time, W is not bugged. It's fine, learn to use it correctly.
  2. This change is disappointing like everyone says, you must build tank items on WW, I've tried everything, he has nothing to escape a fight with unless willing to ult out, 90% of your fights are all in. AP Warwick is not a good plan.
  3. I would much rather have seen a buff to the passive then this change and the Q change. The passive isn't near as good as it used to be, and really falls off late in game. This, or just some base stat increase would be better. His movement speed is fucking terrible for someone who can't dash put of a battle.

Probably a buff to him after he gets baron or something, that's the explanation they use when they buff opposite ratios, like nocturnes passive ap scaling and his e ap scaling. Its not a good explanation tbh, and it doesn't make much sense to buff champions off-ratios for getting baron buff but ya know w.e.
