Anyone else feel like Duo games are just harder than Solo?

So my solo games are extremely easy, like you can go check, I carry 90% of them, and am winning about 85% of my solo queue games. This is fine, its how it should be considering I am not your average silver account.

However, there is something I noticed, I have been duoing with a gold friend who doesn't ranked enough so he doesn't climb, hes really good at mid though so he could probably get diamond if he took the time to play. And a Plat sion main who unfortunately is in a bad spot and plays hyper aggressive to the point its hilarious. These two people I literally cannot win a game with, and I have no idea why. The games feel actually impossible. I'll do fairly well, mind you below my average gameplay, but still in a position where I am strong. My first duo doesn't lose lane, but rarely wins lane too, so hes gonna go even, and my second duo is always winning lane but has a weak midgame. Which means overall we have a strong jungler and an even top/mid. The other two lanes combined are 2-18 on average by 15 minutes. Every. Single. Game.

Is this the game punishing me for duoing, or is the duoing system just completely stacked against duos? Like I don't fault the randoms because they are just outclassed, and I can't fault them for losing to better players, but my question is why are they facing superior players in silver...

I personally lose a lot more duo's than I do solo's. I can push a 60% WR in solo. I'm around 40% in duos and I don't know why. Both guys I play with are gold (I'm bronze) and one of them had gone Diamond in previous seasons.

43% winrate in silver. You carry 90% of your games because your not an average silver... I guess I am missing something lol.

Pretty sure the system still adjusts matchmaking for duos; you will get slightly harder opponents to counteract your communication and synergy with your friend. So unless you are taking advantage of that synergy, your games should be slightly harder with a duo.

The intention is to balance for solos a bit there. If duos were allowed to duo with no penalty, there would be little benefit to trying to queue solo. With a slight handicap though, that communication advantage can be negated a bit.

Now, having said that, I would in no way guarantee that the handicap level is tuned correctly. Perhaps they need to look at that and tone it down a skosh.

The mmr of you and the person you duo with become combined meaning the skill level at which the system looks for team mates becomes far more vast. If you solo q and your gold 3 you will be matched with gold 4,3,2 but if you duo the system will pull from anywhere from silver 1 to plat 5 . What this means is that you could have a silver 1 top laner playing against a plat 5 creating such a scewed laning phase due to different skill level. I used to duo with a friend but I swore it off as it simply ruins game.
