Client Lag

I'm gonna start this out by saying I have a pretty average laptop. It runs league fine at 60 fps on med-high settings, but oh my god does it hate the Client. With all of the special effects the new client has, it is a bear for my computer to run. Sometimes everything will be perfect, and then other times I get the worst frame lag.

Its gotten to the point where once it hits 10 seconds to lock in my champ, the client frame lags so badly that I dodge, cause I am literally unable to lock in my champ, even when spamming the lock in button. Is there a way to turn off all of these effects? Or is it something I just have to deal with.
