Whats the point in picking an AD assasin in non high elo?

Like lets say you play talon. As talon you have a strong early game, can push waves quick can roam well and falls off pre hard unless he is very Fed. His teamfighting is very commital and isnt all that good. Really, ur tactic is to hard win early game then carry this lead out to a win.

Now that is fine until u take a champ like Ekko who has a strong early game, Strong midgame, Strong late-game can push waves moderately well (not as good as talon but better than a lot of midlaners) Non commital teamfighting and just as much damage with only e and q while also having a AOE stun/zone while also having a high AOE ult (although rarely guaranteed) while also having a shield while also getting to itemize Seekers over Hexdrinker while also spiking at one of the cheapest and overstat full items in the game while also having half decent roams and good dives.

Like sure a good talon would snowball a game out of control but if ur not some Challenger Talon one trick whats the reason to not pick a much easier champ like ekko and be good at all stages of the game? (This applies to the majority of AD/AP assasins)

NOTE: I do not main assasins just thought this was a bit of an issue

Compared to normal midlaner, sure. Compared to Talon, no.

just as much damage with only e and q

No

If you can do basic stuff on Talon, you autowin botlane in 80% cases by roaming. Ekko is safer, but he can't roam that well and needs more items to be able to oneshot people, and, therefore, relies on enemies not snowballing that much out of control before that. Thats why he is played more in a jungle now: jungle items are cheaper and there are more opportunities to gank pre-6

Ekko is just a strong champion. Talon isnt as safe as he is, but he can still carry hard under good conditions and start his rampage as early as level 2. I haven't been able to play him well since the rework, but ive witnessed enough monster talons to know how dangerous they can be. Some champs are just good at everything, but some champs manage to be more enjoyable even if they dont give you the best chance of winning.

Ekko is only overtuned, like big big that champ has too many uniques and stuff

Ad assassins are easier to play on average than ap assassins. You are saying that ekko is easier to play but that just a load of bs. Talon is literally one of the easiest champions to play in the game and is very telegraphed. Zed is literally the only ad assassin with some level of skill expression.

Ekko has more tools in his kit but with that he is also more complex and harder to play to his full potential than someone like talon who has only one way of playing. So in short, you don't have to be as good to play talon effectively as you need to be to play ekko effectively.

Talon has a more oppressive early game than Ekko. Ekko is the better champion overall, but if youre looking to close games out fast, you might want to play Talon instead, since Talon can solo carry 20minute wins.
