Are we ever going to fix stacking champions?

After countless games against stacking champs (specifically nasus and veigar) I have to ask: are these things really fair and balanced? Especially in the case of veigar it doesn't matter how hard you focus or shut them down early game when they're weak, they still always come back, and it actually can benefit them. Seriously, veigar gets a stack every time he lands an ability on an enemy champion, meaning even if he dies, he pretty much wins the trade cause the next time those two champs fight, he'll be stronger, and stronger, until eventually (even without items) he can kill his 3/0 or 4/0 or hell even 20/0 laning opponent. Seriously, can this please be reworked/fixed so that it's actually fair? Playing against a veigar once actually showed me the dumbest part of this kit: because you get stacks just for hitting an enemy with an ability and your ult is point and click- literally just spam that thing until it kills, no reason not to, and it just benefits you....DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!?!??!?! I'm trying to keep this calm, but it's frustrating and makes no sense to have a champion like veigar that you completely destroy early game come out of nowhere and suddenly burst you down from 100-0 when he has some absurd score like 0/7 (I've actually had this happen). Even just something as simple as causing these champs to lose a certain amount or percentage of their stacks every time they die would make sense. Also, I know I pretty much just focused on veigar, so I will iterate nasus is a problem, too for similar reasons (though he can be pretty easily kite'd) and other champs like cho'gath (while imo more balanced due to the limits and constraints on his stacking) that can infinitely stack for some absurd damage in their kit seems really fundamentally broken to the game as it can reward bad players for doing nothing at all remarkable (one of the reasons I am more okay with cho'gath's stacking as it is much harder to actually stack past the first six). I know I'm not the only one who feels like this and has some problems with this so can we please look at stackers and maybe actually fix them?
