What was the point of the Stealth Rework?

So I've just started playing league again and have noticed something absolutely stupid, Akali after her most recent rework doesn't get revealed by towers. Wasn't the entire point of the big stealth rework to bring all champions that go invisible into the easily definable categories (camo/invis) because there were so many exceptions and differences to the way each individual champ's stealth worked? What was the point of doing all that and then making a champion that then breaks those rules?

I just can't understand the reasoning there.

Akali's true stealth has been removed ages ago...

However, I'm not sure if this is relevant but here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6extCduY-QM&t=187s

The point of the stealth rework was to make champions less reliant on stealth to be useful. Before the rework all the stealth champions could be countered by a pink ward which destroyed their kits. It was frustrating for supports because rather than buying a final item, they kept having to buy pink wards just to deal with the one stealth champion.

I may not play stealth champions but I’m happy with the change because it created better balance for camouflage champions and allowed invisibility champions to use their stealth like they were always supposed to. It feels like the camouflage champions are fair and don’t feel frustrating

However my issue with the rework is invisibility champions that can either stay in stealth for a long time (like Akali and Shaco) or champions that can constantly renter invisibility like Vayne.

I think the best designed invisibility is Talon because he can only use his once and he has to use his ult to get it. Plus when he uses R, all those daggers shoot out in a circle so it’s not exactly stealthy.
