Should Riot stop focusing on new champs and hammer out the issues for the ones we already have?

Champions with non-abilities (Sion Cassiopeia) are getting their respective butts slammed since the pros and cons of their respective skills double dip on the pros and cons of the gold/XP system (oh poor Sion, is Teemo above you by a level and has denied alot of cs? well guess who isn't getting any health to boot?)

While a good 40 champs have been released since season one, less champs have been picked in this years LCS than the first season's pool (for comparison, DotA 2's recent championship used all but five Heroes out of the pool)

Multiple champs are underpowered (CassiopeiaVarusShyvana) , broken (Olaf) , or have a another champ do their job better (Swain is Ryze with more AP dependence) , and yet you downplay their issues or simply don't mention them

While you happily nerf champions that may have been overpowered before you started, they have been made irrelevant in top level competition (Hecarim Jax This is the first season Jax wasn't picked for championships), but you show obvious favoritism with balancing certain champs (LeeSin this guy cant even see the nerf gun darts and still he dodges them)

I have loved some of the recently released champs, but this game can definitely say it has a champ for anyone and everyone and we should focusing on working on what we have before we add to the mix.

Considering that Riot's Champion Design team and their balance team are two groups, telling Riot to stop one department--THE ONE THAT MAKES THEIR INCOME--because the other group can't instantly hammer out perfect balance changes is asinine.

Explained for the nth time.

Honestly, you should take a look at pick and win rates, including Korea, before making posts like this.

Riot definitely needs to focus a lot more on Champion balance, and they're taking steps in the right direction. New champion production has slowed dramatically, and a lot more effort is being put into reworks.

Now, the last two reworks have more or less flopped, but most likely these flops can be fixed with number changes, and the core point of the reworks are to give them more control and levers to balance champions, so I think that while currently cass and sion are weak, they've taken some positive steps to better balance them.

I do think riot does need to release new champions though, to help keep players interested. I agree they should be 75 - 80% focused on fixing champions, with a side focus on new content, but I think stopping new champion production entirely would be a huge mistake.
