lets talk about talon

Okay so I've loved playing Talon during the last week, but, in my honest opinion, he's weak as hell in the long run of a game. I can't carry a team with him. Talon is good for going in and taking out probably like one non-tank on the other team and then after that he's pretty useless until his abilities finish their long ass cool downs. He relies on his teammates to go in and, like I said, he's good for taking out the other team's squishy carry, but if his teammates are unreliable/are waiting on him to go in then consider the game lost. Consider Katarina: no mana costs, gets cdr passive, has an escape, can kill the entire team; then Talon: high ass mana costs (you're not going to be spending money on mana regen items because theyre going towards your CDR items), high ass cd, can't use his blink to escape/only escape is his ult (but youre probably using that to kill someone), is only useful to kill one person. Zed is like a more complicated, yet better Talon (because at least he has an escape).

Am I missing something here with Talon? I see so many mixed feelings about Talon of people saying he's OP, but then people complaining and asking for a rework.

Buy Trinity force or Essence reaver. Profit.

Also: Talon has high cooldowns? Yeah, maybe in the really early game, but that's about it

when you first start playing talon you will think that he's a terrible assassin and he is insanely weak and useless.

this all changes when you spam the shit out of him and get experience.

Both braindead no skill champs with their own purpose: Kata can demolish teams if left unnoticed, deals magic damage and closest target AOE.both point and click teleport. Meanwhile Talon, like rengar, can delete a target within 0.5 and without counterplay and escape for free

If we're gonna compare Kat and Talon, let's at least address the set backs and advantages of both champs, not just list kat's advantages and talon's disadvantages.

Kat Advantages: No mana, high mobility, high aoe damage, gap closer can be used on allied units, damage besides ult is instantaneous, easy to snowball mid game into late

Kat Disadvantages: Very low damage early game, channeled ult, super telegraphed approach, lower damage than talon at pretty much all points of the game, extremely reliant on fast kills/assists in teamfights (if her target doesn't die, she does), her aoe can hit less targets than talon's, no cc.

Talon Advantages: heavy aoe, heavy mobility, stealth, quite a bit of damage amp, has a targeted slow, has an aoe slow, easy to snowball early to mid game, great at farming, which inherently makes him good at roaming, great level three all-in with ignite (a near guaranteed kill), is ad so automatically gets better autoattacks, is better at taking towers, and has better itemization at the moment.

Talon Disadvantages: Will fall behind if not fed early, majority of his damage can be dodged despite it not being easy to dodge, higher cooldown on initiate at all levels, mana.

Talon has 2 AoE spells with good scaling, and often rushes Tiamat. His single target burst is almost as fast as Rengar, and he takes turrets very well. When late game swings by, you don't even need your full combo to one-shot a squishy. He is a great carry.
