S9 ranked changes and position swapping

If S9 will have different ranks for each role, won't this effectively prevent role swapping in champ select? When someone gets autofilled and says "can I mid plz" people will be hesitant to swap if the game will affect their rank for the wrong role.

I feel like multiple-position champions will also suffer. If you're a Brand main, you can play support or mid, but you'll have different ranks for each?
