Wards (and general intellectual play) in silver-gold elo
It would seem you guys don't care much in general about wards, and absolutely don't give a shit at all if they are not on your side of the map. Got into an argument with my adc who didn't seem to think 2 pink wards (one above blue side red, one in bot side tri) were a big deal because they were: "In the enemy jungle". The problem with wards in the enemy jungle is they tell your opponents 2 things: 1 the enemy isn't here/this area is safe for us and 2: THEY WILL NOT KNOW WHEN OUR JUNGLER IS COMING TO GANK.
Now this didn't end well for either of us, ADC got defensive and basically assumed i was abusive, and to my dismay, the ADC's takeaway was I think something along the lines of "OMG A WARD IN THE ENEMY JUNGLE, I MUST KILL IT". No actually, it's just: "OMG A FUCKING WARD, FUCKING KILL IT".
I had to watch as 3 players on my team all walk through the same ward, and completely ignore it. No one on our team built sweeeper, and the amount of disregard for the knowledge 1 ward can give you was disgusting.
At some point I was given the good old classic: "This isn't the LCS, this is silver". Correct, but this is also fucking League of Legends. Wards are a crucial part of it whether you think so or not, and playing smarter is wayyyyyyyy easier than playing better.
Still could be worse I guess, I could have been told: "This is Silver, we don't need strategy." (You'd think I was joking... You would).
Note: Most cases of this stuff is coming from ADCs, not sure if there's a correlation since I'm already making a rather broad statement.
