Out of curiosity, what exactly do (or did) people find broken about Gnar's kit in the past? I admit to not having played against him much at all, and I don't recall ever seeing him in a SR game this season.
Was it item abuse or something in his kit itself? Need to know for a project I'm doing.
He used to benefit off of Frozen Mallet, Fervor, and Black Cleaver. All of these items/Key Stone were nerfed and effected Gnar's damage potential and made his spike weaker. To top it off, they also nerfed his W damage and E CD. All of these in 2-3 patches were too much for Gnar and he is now almost unviable if you don't know how to master him. Sure he has his range, but his early is just so weak and in a meta where the game is decided by who wins early on it doesn't work well with him.
item abuse and synergy with his spells. bc mallet ganr was inescapable and had near permanent movespeed boosts.
I'm 90% sure as to what this project is and I'm hype for it.
