Broken Game

I play my first Summoners Rift game for the first time in a week or so. Can't connect after champ select for a good 3 minutes, get in game, 50ms okay cool we're fine, turns out 50 ms to Riot means 1k or so. Dcing constantly for 0 reason, not on my end. Just curious as to how the game has managed to be ruined this much? We still a small Indie company?
