Aurelion Sol's passive

So I know this might sound silly but I always thought Asol's passive was his spinning stars, but upon reading it today I learned that there is actually a second part to it. Apparently it will execute minions that are at 25 health, neat right? Well it would be if its starting damage wasn't 25 + ap ratio. I would hope it would kill a minion with 25 health considering its doing 29 damage for me at level 1. Now if it was 25% health that would be different but the ability just says 25 hp if it is meant to be 25% please change the text if it is not suppose to be 25% then what is the purpose of the second part of his passive?

Edit: Thanks to Bhagswag I went and tested his idea that if the minion would be dropped below 25 health when a star hits it the star will just outright kill it. And turns out they were correct. For instance if a minion has 50hp and your star will do 30 damage the minion will just die because it would be 20hp after the hit. So my new request is that the wording could be changed. For instance it could say; "If a minion would fall below 25hp when hit by a star the minion will instead be executed."

This covers my recent thoughts exactly, the minions are just above a single star/autos worth of hp, a star hits and it is supposed to execute, but wait! 25 hp is nothing for an execute threshold. I'm not sure if it is worth anything at level 1, and seeing as it does not scale his 2nd passive part is just pointless afterwards. [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Wait I thought it was like, If you hit a minion with the W, and let's say the minion would be taken down to 24 health, he'll just die instead?

If not, lol back at it again.

I believe this was meant to exist when minions actually had magic resistance, so as to ease killing minions a little. Or was it not? If it was, then it could have been removed since there's little use for it now indeed.

Yeah the execute part of asol's passive is super poorly worded. If a minion survives a star boop with 25 hp or less, whether or not he has W on, it'll take 25 extra damage. It's like the cs training wheels that Riot's slowly taking away from autoattacks, except on only asol's stars.

They gave him that passive because Sol players were having trouble last hitting with the passive. Good thing in their equality they do the same thing for thornmail and Sunfire cape users. s/
