Why did riot change the ascension buff
Why did they change the ascension buff,its really dumb right now,who ever gets in the circle gets it.The old one was better.

Because Riot likes ruining their game.
I personally love that change. It means you gotta fight for the buff rather than get a cheap last hit in then stroll around like you deserve some glory for it.
The change makes for some pretty insane fights. I remember me and my friends panicking because we had to stay in the zone while a dead Sion was using us as sandbags. He almost got all three of us.
Yeah I guess it was funner when it got sniped randomly and other poor attempts at sarcasm by me.
the original ascension was my fav game mode of all time... after they changed ruined it. i stopped playing it all together.

more than normal rift, more than one for all MORE THAN ULTRA RAPID FIRE more than ANY OTHER MODE!!!
and i wont play it after riot ruined it with the changes they did

agree ,trash change ,no more thrill by last hitting now no one does it anymore and who does it while enemy is alive is retard and will fail and get it stolen by enemy team
I think it was because how powerful the buff is, they didn't want it coming down to simply last hitting it. Which is funny because every other buff in the game that I can think of that comes from a neutral camp is completely reliant on last hitting it.
Well, it makes slightly more sense lore-wise. Killing an Ascended in order to Ascend doesn't make sense, but as Xerath discovered and proved, anyone can ascend.
Xerath ascended when Azir was supposed to. Xerath killed Azir and took the power of Ascension for himself.
I think the change is okay, gameplay-wise. You just have to kill all of your enemies, which you should do anyway if you're planning to Ascend.
I hated the buff change. In my last game i literally E'd the enemy off the platform and took the buff for myself after the enemy had cleared it.
