Yi's ultimate has not been buffed or nerfed for a long time, it is the core staple of his strength and I main Yi. There is absolutely no reason to nerf Highlander in the least. Yi is not a viable pick in high elo to begin with, he is not top tier. He can only viably be run jungle with a specific build path. He is already to fragile of a champion so again. It is not the champions fault, it's the items.

Frankly I am sick and tired of champions getting nerfed when nothing was changed about them except for the items they build. If you nerf his highlander he won't even be a the tad bit of viable that he is now, and because of this I will finally quit league. Truthfully he doesn't need a buff or a nerf and he's fine as it is. I've never built tank on him but I know for certain if the highlander nerf goes through you are nerfing the damage yi too.

No offense intended. but yi does need toning down, they've tried and tried and i guess they're finally targeting something that they havent touched in a while in order to get him to where they want him.

couterplay.xyz disagrees with you. Yi's winrate in gold and plat is in the 60s he rightfully deserves to be gutted just like every devourer/guinsoo cancer

Yi is problematic even if it isn't his kit that is the problem. No matter what items get nerfed he will always have a build path to shine (currently tank). So yes, the items are the problem, but nerfing items will hurt more Champs than just Yi, and it will barely effect him.

I'm not sure what the nerf is, but from the sounds of it they're nerfing it too much.

EDIT: Yi has one of the highest ban rates right now, and the only reason he isn't picked in challenger level games is because he doesn't do a ton early and most junglers want to make their lanes win by 5-8 mins.

They're toning down Yi's solo vs team power where a single kill will set off a chain of Alpha's that can devastate a team fight.

Of course they shouldn't nerf Yi, of course no one is going to miss me. But Yi isn't the problems the Items is. I don't even run Guinsoo on yi. Dev+ Guinsoo is powerful and thats where his strength lies, in the items not the kit. Stop nerfing champions and nerf the items because we all know the moment you nerf the items in the future yi won't be playable.

If they nerf Highlander they nerf full ad damage yi. I never build guinsoo or tank yi, I've always went traditional dev+botrk+ghostblade. I can't even team fight with the PBE nerfs with damage yi anymore, Yi's longevity in a fight solely relies on outplays with alpha's and with his W. His playstyle now is funadamentally different and it almost feels like a tanky yi is the better option now. The R nerf is in the wrong direction.

Its like a 3 second change dude. Its not a gutting of his ult, its literally a matter of a few seconds. Be glad they didn't nerf his Q dmg scaling or change his E any more, its a matter of between like 2-5 seconds difference in the extension of the time his ult is active. If you'll quit over this, then that's pretty sad.
