Any pointers... I've done it all... youtube, don't be toxic, encourage, try to carry, nothing works... theres always two dunces that throw the game, either that or an AFK.

We need a ranking system that centerson individual performance, not team failures. I can go 28/2 but if my team feeds 50 deaths, I can't carry.

CaptnJakSparrow1/7/2016, 9:37:42 AM4 votes

Bronze 5 is easy. Don't be a potato and learn to last hit. Last hitting alone will get you into b4 just because you'll naturally have more items than the other b5 wondertaters that have 50 cs in a 40 minute game.

Anyone stuck in bronze needs to improve and stop blaming the system/players.

I climbed my way out of bronze at the end of last season with a 70% win rate and an average KDA of 5. The big thing that did it for me was a complete shift in mentality. I became extremely self critical. Even when I played great and carried I watched my replays and focused on every little mistake I made.

Yeah you're going to get trolls and afks. Some games are just unwinnable. But equally as often the enemy team will get trolls and afks or you'll have a great player on your team that carries you. What matters is how you perform in those games that fall between those extremes.

As part of my process to improve I tracked all the stats of every game I played from January 1st, 2015. I compiled all the data and used some statistical analysis to help determine what factors impacted my win rate the most.

What I found was that KDA was the most important statistic that influenced whether I won or lost. When my KDA was greater than 3.0 my win rate was greater than 50%. No other staristic had such a clear cut correlation with win rate. With this knowledge I focused on playing more conservative and dying less and that's when I saw my win rate increase dramatically.

The biggest thing I see looking at your stats is the your average KDA is less than 2. This means that you are making a lot of mistakes when you go for kills, resulting in you dying as often as you get a kill or assist. You will never climb unless you begin to realize what those mistakes are and reduce the amount of times you are dying in game. I highly recommend you use a replay program like Skin Spotlights Replay to analyze your own gameplay.

The other thing that really stands out to me is that your CS numbers are very low on average. You should be able to average at least 5 cs/min when you play top, mid or ADC.

Good luck man. Let me know if there is any other way I can help.

Dont focus on winning games or how close you are to promos. Things like that make the game a frustrating experience.

Get rid of the attitude that nothing is ever your fault.

Focus on improving yourself and only yourself. Winning games is a byproduct of improvement.

BruhTeamSucks1/7/2016, 6:55:39 AM2 votes

Play better champs. It may not necessarily be your gameplay. Some champs are just terrible to climb with.

kyocrisis1/7/2016, 8:10:41 AM1 votes

Well depends on the issue. If you're one of they people that tends to "carry", get objectives, get kills, call plays, etc lead to your team almost winning but somehow you still lose. Find a duo partner. Play a champ that can carry even when your team sucks. Make your team listen to you. Ward. Try not to die.

After being in silver S4, I got stuck in B5 and stayed low bronze almost all of last season. After deciding to mostly duo, and playing champs that can carry makes all the difference. Also, getting kills is great. Not dying is even better generally, try not to die. Made it back to Silver before the end of the season, it's better although not by much. Still, bronze is a sinkhole so you need to get out.

TacoKingIII1/7/2016, 8:28:54 AM1 votes

This may not apply to you but it definitely applies to me. Get the mentality out of your head that "x champion is too easy i dont play easy champs" or "y champion is op so i wont play him." Because it is very hard to get out of low elo and playing harder champs just makes it harder. Play easy champs, once you get to a higher elo then you can start playing the harder ones but even then I recommend playing easy ones.

Alakalzam1/7/2016, 9:11:46 AM1 votes

You're dying too often. Your Kill/Death:Assist ratio is poor on all of the characters you play. This can mean a variety of things, but given that you're bronze V and that your KDA is so low, it's likely due to poor decision making. Try to reduce how often you die. These are common mistakes in low elo.

  1. Don't push your lane if you don't have vision. Keep in mind that the the "vision" you need to push is different depending on who the enemies' champions are (e.g. You need more vision if your enemy jungler is Shaco versus Cho'Gath).
  2. Don't sit in lane with low health (unless you're trying to bait your opponent for whatever reason). You're just inviting them to all-in you or call in backup to dive you if at tower. This is especially true if your opponent is playing a mobile champion as it makes it easier for them to reach you and/or tower dive you.
  3. Don't tower dive people unless you're sure you can get in and out without dying. It's likely not worth it if you kill your lane opponent, but then die to the turret.
  4. Don't commit to a fight with your lane opponent unless you're sure you will win.
  5. If you die, don't commit to a fight with your lane opponent unless you're SURE you will win. Always keep in mind that they have a gold advantage over you, some extra CS, and some experience that you missed out on while dead. In short, all else being equal, they will win the second fight. Before you commit make sure all else is not equal. :p
  6. If you die more than once during the laning phase without killing your opponent, you're making bad decisions and/or don't fully understand what your opponent is capable of doing. At this point, they probably have almost 800g on you and maybe a level. Focus on farming safely and not feeding them for the remainder of the laning phase.

As an aside, at low elos, try to only last hit minions and let your opponent push. So many people in bronze and silver push without proper vision. Ideally, you want the minions fighting just outside your tower range. Let your jungler know before the game that you're going to try to let them push so he's looking for gank opportunities.

You're in Bronze V. Your teammates are bad, so don't expect much from them.

look for tips from high elo players

lately i've been getting some of my replays analyzed by people in diamond / challenger through lol-coaching.com, noticing a lot of things i need to improve on

if you want i can help with that kind of thing too, i'm only gold 5 but i managed to climb my ass out of bronze (obviously) and i do know how irritating bronze is but it's super easy once you recognize your mistakes instead of blaming your team for everything

we've all been there and there are TONS of resources for bronze / silver players on how to climb if you just look around. lol coaching, summoner school on reddit, and high elo twitch streamers is how i learned. though i just started coaching not too long ago because i want to get to plat, i would recommend it, the people are pretty nice about analyzing your replays and going "you should improve on this" instead of "WOW i cant believe you did this, you're bad"

dunno, if you need any help add me though, i like helping new-ish players

Bondage Bunnyboy1/7/2016, 10:59:57 AM1 votes

Play AP Sona, get really good at it. In Bronze, people won't realize that you're just as much of a threat as the ADC in a quick skirmish (with Lichbane). Therefore they will not focus you, and you will be free to reign musical terror upon your enemies.

1st Movement1/7/2016, 12:34:53 PM1 votes

Wow cs is so low I could get over 400 cs in that time

In the end it's all about mechniacs you gotta understand how your kit works and what u need to do in teamfights kda doesn't matter if you aren't focusing the right targets

Trust me you can't win 100% of the time

Suggestion: play heros of the storm then go back and play ranked

This game absolutely helps you to understand objective control and good calls

fééd l0rd1/7/2016, 2:31:32 PM1 votes

I started playing last season and I was ranked at first in silver 4 and within 3 months I got to gold just by looking at my own mistakes and by fixing them. Learn to carry, start by winning your lane hard. Make your opponent look like an absolute noob and destroy him totally. Go on and roam. Gg, this is enough in bronze.

xReadyPlayerOnex1/8/2016, 8:59:13 PM1 votes

It's my mistake that my team fed 47 kills in 30 minutes while i died twice, topped cs for the game, topped kills, ganked as hard as I could for them and wasn't toxic? Yeah? It is? Sure about that?

Zerolera1/8/2016, 9:17:46 PM1 votes

Here's the thing - if you're really playing amazingly your MMR will increase to the point where you'll gain 35 LP for every win and only lose about 7-8 per loss. If that happens you could lose 3 games every time you win once and still climb.

If this isn't happening and you're losing as much as you're earning in terms of LP then you're exactly at the ranking that you belong for your skill level.

LostFr0st1/8/2016, 10:23:16 PM1 votes

Hi Thotvillian,

Not sure if this is an option, but have you considered either leaving bot lane (the most team-reliant of lanes) or playing a champ that is less team dependent.

(No, I do not mean splitpushers; they are heavily team-reliant since your team will have no Idea how to use the pressure you're applying to get stuff. In bronze, a splitpusher is someone on your team who is caught out (your team will always react the same way--->"Guys he's getting piled! Let's go help him! Guys let's go help~" --instead of applying pressure elsewhere while they chase you)

I don't ranked much, and started playing at the very end of season 4 (played placements--we done bois).
Season 5 I got placed in Bronze 1 and was having a hard time of it (maining utility/low damage supports) fell to B3; switched to mid/top playing team-helpful damage carries (anyone who uses rylais effectively can easily get someone out of Bronze; the catch-out is real) and managed to get in just enough games to get into Silver 5 70ish lp by season's end.

Hope this helps :)

I'll throw out Leaguecraft 101, his older videos were crucial in me climbing out of bronze a year and a half ago.

As CptnJack said learning to CS better will do wonders for you. If you can get 60-70 cs at 10 minutes on average you'll be way ahead(about 16 cs = 1 kill) of others.

I think also it's always worth thinking about how you could have played every situation better. Even when you win a fight/trade think about how you could have won better. Could you have backed up before attacking again, sidestepped a skillshot, placed a ward when you knew their jungler was on your side of the map, etc etc, always evaluate and think about what you could have done to make up for your teammates failures.

Also it's probably worth mentioning that you'll have an easier time carrying your way out if you play a carry champion (top, mid, adc). Now I don't want to say that's the only way, I had a friend who carried her way from B4-S5 mostly playing support so it's very doable, just harder because even if you set up a great play for your team just perfectly it still relies on your team taking advantage of it.

So don't let yourself get discouraged, just keep trying to play the best you can play, and don't worry too much about your rank, just keep playing the best you can.

You need to work on your decision making.

PhantomGG1/7/2016, 7:25:30 AM1 votes

You are either not doing what the videos tell you to do, or mechanically your still legitmately bronze material. Nothing wrong with either, no point in doing ranked in the first place unless you plan on becoming either a streamer/youtuber or tonry player.
