We ever going to see match making changes
Just curious. It's cool to see the changes to the honor system and runes system. I still remember when honor system was added and players (including myself) have been asking to change the rune system for years. Seeing as honor system was introduced roughly what 4 years ago? And runes been around forever. Can we expect overall match making changes in like 3-4 years? Hopefully I won't be playing then hell I probably won't be playing much in the future anyways.
Just curious if match making will ever been evened out though. Or if smurfing will be reduced. Or if trolling/afks will be punished more. Hell if there will be new competitive maps ever added. Seems like your finally figuring out you can add/change more than just champions and skins. I am happy you have finally figured this out and happy to finally see new overall changes.
Seems like match making will just continue to be ignored though. I guess we are happy with our year long seasons where it takes hundreds of games to reach your "true" rank with a certain role and certain champion. I used to not care but... fuck man it really drains on people who have played awhile. There really is no option for someone who wants to casually play but have close and competitive games.
You can't go to norms for competitive games because players are trying new things and skill ranges vary like crazy. Ranked is hard to call competitive as mmr is always changing and it takes hundreds of games to reach your true mmr especially with rank resets each season. And then include all the other rank variables it's really hard to find competitive games. It really burns players out like me who have played forever being matched with fresh newly level 30 players playing their first ranked games. Or people who just been XXX skill range for many seasons with different roles playing with players who know x champ and 1 role at xxx skill range. It looks competitive on paper but god forbid that player doesn't get their 1 champ or 1 role and then they play like they have never even touched the game before. And it happens so often it makes you question whether you playing "ranked" or just some random ffa mode. Hell I am not convinced there is even a ranked mode anymore. I click it and play it because it says ranked and I am just brainwashed at this point to keep clicking it. But at the end of the day I usually just shrug and say "well guess that was supposed to be evenly matched".
