In my opinion, the difference between Aatrox's Q and E cooldowns early is a problem
Everyone is complaining about
's early game being too strong (therefore, how easily he can snowball). Even if I think Aatrox should definitely have a strong early game, I still feel like he is way too oppressive and should trade this early free damage he has for more survivability, which will still give him the edge early while making him less annoying for people playing against him.
Aatrox's Q is, without a doubt, way too strong early and only gets stronger and stronger as the time goes on. But, as everyone knows, this ability can be very easily dodged, except when Aatrox uses his E. Even if Aatrox can store 2 E charges, the ability has an insanely high cooldown of 24 seconds of recharge time at level 1, while his Q (who goes on cooldown over the whole duration of the combo btw) is only 16.
In my opinion, Aatrox's Q should be on a much higher cooldown early and his E should be much much shorter. The reason for this is that Aatrox has way too much free damage with the several Q casts he can make through the waves, using his E almost only for dealing the killing combo. He should be more thoughtful early about using his Q early, instead of casting it like its nothing. On the other hand, presently E charges are a scarce ressource at the start of the game, even if its only used for general utility/survivability and "fixing" his Q. If the cooldown of those two abilities were switched, this would force Aatrox to actually think if he SHOULD use his Q instead of using it whenever he CAN, while giving him more access to his E to make his early laning still quite strong, giving him access to safe trades through mobility/AA reset and empowerement instead of raw Q spam harassing.
