Gold V tilt...worried about demotion.

Current MMR is 50 below average. When I first got into gold V it felt so incredibly easy to continue climbing. I got into Gold IV pretty easily. Once I got there though, the game felt like it changed.

I hit a point where I can't tell if I just started playing badly, or if low to mid Gold is my skill cap. I'd really like to continue playing ranked, but I'm worried about demoting into Silver. I'm currently Gold V 1LP.

I heard about a message that warns you that you'll be demoted if you don't improve. I just want to know if I can continue playing ranked safely.

lol you have to drop to like silver 5 mmr before being demoted I believe. My alt is gold 5 little lp and last check said silver 3 mmr..... the tilt has been real on that account (mostly playing with friends). But I still haven't gotten a message. At least yet.

Your MMR has to be extremely low to get demoted between tiers. You need to be gold 5 with a silver 5 MMR to get demoted

If you've recently gotten up to Gold4, you're nowhere near low enough to get demoted to Silver yet. You'd have to lose a lot of games. To demote by end of season, you'd have to be playing Trollnivia and keep up a near 0% win rate.
