So I just won 3/5 of my promos to get into silver, but all it did was reset my promos so I need to do it again.
My computer lagged out in champ select so I needed to reque...but that wouldnt effect my moving up would it?

If you dodge/leave a match during champ select during promos (Even if it's from lag); It automatically counts it as a loss. You most likely lost your placements from that.
The ranked/match history doesn't update right away either sometimes - so you might of not of noticed, especially if you were lagging. You most likely lost your placements then proceeded to win another game (Even though you were unaware you were sitting at 80 LP) and just made it into placements again.
