Best Support to Carry?

I am interested what you guys think is the best support to carry a game. The kind of support that, in the right hand, could make the biggest difference in a game from saves to initiations, laning phase and teamfights. I've had a lot of success on pyke and thresh.

supports are pretty different from one another. You wont find one that is best in class in everything.

Nami if u want to be enchanter and fell useful to your team. Alistar if you put enough trust in your adc then this is the best in my opinion. Brand if you just want solo carry potential than take this damage monster

Rakan I'd say. He's super flexible and works really well with randos and in many situations. I see a lot of support-streamers have him as their 'go to'.

Also, whatever's broken. Always good.

Thresh makes me nervous. I play my normals in too low an elo and... mmmm..... Maybe in gold+ ranked you get people familiar with any part of his kit- but lower elo than that I prefer to play him duoQ, just because of adcs not realising walk up > flay > hook is a thing and sitting back csing... very tilting. Contrarily if you're on Rakan and your ADC blanks you, you E out.

A aggro Lulu is actually disgusting.

Brand If you put decent amount of time practising him you will learn to see opportunities for engages, catches and just solo kills. a) You can save allies by hitting your stuns and being a threat to enemy, who thinks "fuck this, I'd rather live than feed this guy/give him even more tempo ". Or well.. just kill him before he kills your ally b) Initiations are pretty straighforward where you again, need to hit stuns well. His passive allows your ult to slow down enemies or your ult allows to catch one of enemies, which triggers either a teamfight or as minimum 1 dead enemy. c) Laning phase is one of the most important time. At this point to be impactful in early mid/ mid game you must snowball it. And we again go back to hitting your stuns. You must hit your stuns, as it can decide if enemy carry dies , if you or your carry dies, or if enemy is harassed hard. Your must-do thing (no need to mention not feeding) is to zone out enemy from farming, giving your carry a farm advantage. Your 2nd task is to harass enemy so hard ,that they will either need to recall or die for farm, their jg will not be a threat if enemy carry is either afraid to come to you or comes to you and get oneshot (at this point it is aaagain important to stun enemy jg). d) Brand teamfight advantage is very well known. All you need to do is cast your abilties and obviously hit them effectively. Hitting stuns here is also important if you see enemy focusing you or your carry. There is Q-E-R-W combo, but tbh from my experience I rarely manage to hit it, as you actually need to start your ult asap before your team dies. So my combo is usually R-W-E and save Q for safety or use it if you feel you and your carry is safe for Q cd time. I didn't cover roam and catches, because it is a bit more advanced topic, plus you being succesful as Pyke and Thresh should be aware of it.

Just OTP Brand review

Lux isn't really considered a support but she is very good ad harrasing opponents when playing with an adc that lacks lane pressure early (like Jhin). If played right she can collect assists and a lot of gold (mainly due to the support item) and after her 3rd item one-shot the enemy support or adc. A very good pick if your team lacks ap damage.

I'm gonna say Zyra or Nami.

In low elo, pick thresh every single game. Hard push for 2, walk up as the last melee minion is being killed in the second wave, flay hook and ignite before heal. Congrats you've just won lane and players are too stupid to flash or back up until at least platinum. Diamond/master which is as high as I've gotten is different but up until there you're good with just lvl 2 all inning on thresh. gg

Taric His ult can easily win a lost fight by itself. It allows you to go for things that would normally be impossible like a baron steal when 2 of your team are dead.

Bard is a pretty nifty gamechanger, recently I've been doing poorly because I don't understand his kit too well but I still think he's pretty strong. Brand and Zyra are like playing mages in the bot lane that does both burst damage and DOT damage. Morgana is a neato one that counters most CC comps. Alistar is a common hard AOE monster right now. There's a huge pool to choose from and some supports counter other types of supports.

Nami s a powerful lane bully thanks to being able to harass and heal with a point and click spell.

thresh is pretty good. but if u get a draven just go blitz and its over for the other team. sometimes is morgana a good choice if u have someone like jinx or cait
