Dear Rito, I has a question about knife cat.

So I've been a Rengar main since season 5, and while the new Rango isn't bad, he definitely feels a lot different from the old one. While many people think that Rengar is in a terrible state, I for one think that this isn't true (for the most part anyway). I mean, Rengar can't really delete squishy champs in the blink of an eye anymore since players are pretty much forced to build him as a bruiser, but at the same time this also makes Rengar a lot more impactful in team fights since he himself doesn't get deleted in an instant. Plus with his new ultimate his opponents have more ways to react, which I for one think is pretty nifty, because this gives my opponents a means of counter play, while providing more of a challenge for me, so overall a win-win. However, what I've noticed is that Rengar functions more so like a diver rather than a full damage assassin nowadays. Is this something that Riot intended for everyone's favorite knife-wielding cat? Because to be honest I kind of miss being able to use Rengar as a full damage assassin. Also I was wondering if Riot had any plans to buff Rengar, or potentially give him another rework, because Rengar still feels like a feast or famine champion who can't do much without his ultimate, which by the way is on a rather lengthy cooldown at rank one. Overall, I was just wondering what Riot currently thinks about the new Rengar, because while he certainly isn't bad, I can understand why some people don't like him as much as the old Rengar (I being one of those people ;-;). And one more thing; being forced to get kills in order to stay relevant is just dumb in my opinion, because what if you are unable to get those kills? Now, for most champions, this isn't a problem. The only ones who are super kill dependent are Draven, Rengar, and Kindred. Draven is understandable though since he was designed to be an early game powerhouse and as an early game powerhouse he's expected to get kills, but Rengar and Kindred are champions who start small and gradually scale in the late game, but only if they get kills. Just something else that I was wondering about, because while requiring kills ties into their lore and makes them stand out, I feel as if these mechanics just aren't healthy for their playstyles, because if you can get kills you can get really far ahead and pretty much carry the game, but if you can't get kills you remain virtually useless. Not to mention that needing unique champion kills makes camping a lane a rather fruitless endeavor, which kind of sucks considering that camping is a pretty common strategy.
