Support items do not need a huge change(if any)

Here's the math on the old frostfang vs shard of true ice.

old frostfang: 10% cdr = 266g 20 ap = 435g 50% mana regen = 250g dmg on passive = ~400g (matching it with the 15 dmg from the on hit on wits end 375g on wits) That comes out to 1351g without the income generation or gold charges ill explain why im leaving these out when going over the next item.

the new t3 support item 45 ap = 979g 100 health = 266g 100% mana regen = 500g This comes out to 1745g

Now for the gold generation the new one has 3gold/5 where as the old frostfang has 2g/5. So even then you'd be getting more from the new t3 item. Now all thats left is the gold charges. So lets calculate the difference to see how much you'd need to break even with the new item.

Frostfang worth 1351g -850g you pay for it = 501g Shard of true ice 1745g - 400g you pay for it = 1345g

1345g-501g = 844g difference. Now to get the tier 3 upgrade you need 1000g from the quest which leads to a 1000g+844g = 1844g difference

So for frostfang to break even you need to be making 1844g with its charges throughout the entire game.

This can be solved with a simple post of the average income from charges from frostfang. If anyone can post the average income from gold charges for the old frostfang please do. Personally my average was between 1200 to 1400 gold but my specific averages dont matter when we're talking about the entire support class so lets get a statistic here.

If we cant post a statistic here lets stop complaining about support items because it fits our narrative.

Sidenote: the new support support item has 3g/10 whereas the old frostfang had 2g/10 which leads to roughly a 108 gold leeway. So if charges income was 1952g (1844 + 108= 1952) then both sides could make cases. Anything less than 1844g means the new support item without a doubt is better and anything more than 1952 means the old frostfang without a doubt is better.

The old Tribute passive never shut off, and those were where the income was, not on the GP10. That income shutoff is what the issue is; you finish 1.5-2 items, and then suddenly you can't build anything quicker than 10 mins/item.
