Guides and Learning the game
League of legends is a great game and there is a lot of information summoners need to absorb before becoming really good at the game. Ever since the game came out several websites have taken as their responsibility to inform players what champions are op on the current patch and what items you should build. Well, my concern starts with the item builds. I recently made an acc in the EUW server to play with some friends. I tried the new "tutorial" just to see... really big disappointment. There is barely any explanation on items and what you should build. They still have the "Suggested" item list which works if ure on a bot game but in most cases we only get 1~2 items from that list. Could Riot take the responsibility of teaching summoners their game? Right now there are 100 or more different websites who charge little kids (most likely) to tell them basic things about the game and promise them they'll get better. Which i believe is true. However, why should summoners go out of their way to learn skills like "Lane freeze", "Item build" and "Rune + Masteries" knowledge. I believe the best games happen when ppl on both sides are really aware of objectives and how to counter the enemy team. Rito should take the responsibility on at least providing tutorials and tools that would allow the average player to get better without requiring to pay money or access external sources. Like is fine having a forum discussing bugs and strategies but not to the point where its ur only source of information and tool to improve. If we make every player knowledgeable and capable of standing their ground in and out of game we would get a higher skill pool and hence make the game better in general.
