About normal game average team rank

I feel it's rather unbalanced. I'm currently gold 1 and i just feel most of players i play with (random team) and against are much more experienced with their picks and roles and that does not really help that i'm mostly against diamonds and high plat. (challengers seen couple times/ week in ques) . I would rather play normal since because work i might be able to play max 2 games/ day at week. Also when trying unfamiliar roles i prefer going normal and try it there but it just currently is much more balanced to go ranked and try it there. Is there way to lower that average team rank in normal or should i just (most likely) ruin my rank or just make new account and play some unranked game while most likely not find much enjoyment from there. Since i'm gonna move to another location in next month i wont be able to play this game much anyway...
