[Discussion] How do some of you deal with this?

How do some of you deal with the idea of a new champion being released who feels like a better version of someone you main?

That champion for me is Kai'Sa. I don't actually hate her but I dislike the fact how she was designed. As in how much influence was taken from other Marksman to make her. She feels like a better version of Varus, Kogmaw, and Vayne combined. The only thing unique about her is her ult which I really like.

But it just makes me said that I can't beat her because because she is simply better than Varus.

I guess this is quite similar and can be compared how someone like Ornn can beat someone like Nautilus or Garen.

I am a long time Varus main, who I enjoy playing because of him being a diversive champion amongst the other Marksman.

  • His W Blight Passive stacking and detonating being quite unique.

  • Or his distinctive poke with his Q.

I will do some comparisons to show my point.

Kai'Sa W (comparison to Varus Q)

  • Kai'Sa W has a massively longer range.

  • Has 50% of the cooldown refunded with the upgrade, once it hits an enemy (Varus Q has a long cooldown and only 4 seconds on his Q is refunded if he proc's Blight Stacks).

  • Kai'Sa has the ability to detonate her passive with her W if the enemy is already marked with 3 Plasma stacks (Sounds familiar right? That's because that's what Varus does).

Kai'Sa Passive (Comparison to Varus W)

  • Kai'Sas allies have the ability to apply her Plasma stacks on enemies through CC (granting her even a bigger advantage in lane, in my opinion this was the thing that needed to be removed instead of nerfing her passive numbers).

Kai'Sa as a hybrid marksman (Comparison to Varus)

  • She has AP and AD scallings on all of her abilities (Varus abilities have only one scalling for each ability). This allows her to build anything she wants and still deal the same damage if not more.

  • If Varus goes AP, his abilities without any blight stacks deal absolutely no damage and therefore are useless on their own.

  • Kai'Sa can literally build anything and still be relavant in team fights whether it's On-Hit, Crit, or AP (The only remaining playstyle on Varus is AP and even with that he still has a 48.77% winrate).

Do any of you have that one champion like that? That is a better version of someone you main?
