Please keep in mind that the issue around Dynamic Queue is more complicated than some seem to think

I'm not going to take a stance in this case: I couldn't give less fucks about DQ. SQ or whatever system they want to implement. This is no post to either attack or defend DQ, it's mostly as response to the overwhelming amount of discussion and controversy about it.

The point I want to make is that people, both the anti-DQ and pro-DQ sides seem to think that this is as easy as either "The Boards say people want soloQ back, so just do that" or "DQ is just better, it allows you to play with friends and SQ doesn't. "Everyone who likes DQ likes it only because they can be boosted by their friends" vs "Everyone who hates DQ only uses it as excuse for their low rank". I could go on for a while, but I won't: if you have read a couple of posts on the Boards, then you know what I mean.

This issue isn't as easy as that. There are a lot of different visions: some want a pure solo environment for competitive integrity, others because they don't like playing with or against premades. Some like DQ because they just like to play with friends once in a while, others because they want to climb using teamwork. There are many other views on the story, and none of them is completely right or wrong. All of them have a point.

That's why I'm incredibly annoyed I see a post along the lines of "It's easy to fix, just give us solo queue" or on the other side "It's easy, just ignore this vocal minority and keep what the real majority likes". It isn't that easy. And when Riot says they have considered multiple options, that they didn't consider this a light decision, and that they are really trying as best as they can to keep as many people as possible satisfied, then I believe them: it doesn't make sense for them either to intentionally fuck their game, and even though not every decision has been perfect, I cannot deny that they are a pretty successful company who probably do have somewhat of an idea what they are doing.

TL;DR The Dynamic Queue issue isn't as easy as it might seem, and there are a lot of different voices who all have a point. Nobody is completely right or completely wrong, and the solution isn't as easy as either keeping or removing DQ.
