HexTech rewards clarified

So I just want to get clarification on the requirements for receiving rewards after a match.

On the first day HexTech went live, I played a bunch of matches solo Q'd and got key fragments and boxes after myself or someone in my party got an S score. However, since yesterday even though there were S scores from people on my team, I didn't get anything (over the course of 5-6 matches).

Do I need to queue up with someone in a "premade" in order to be eligible to receive something? I've re-read through the forums and Q&A to check this out, but its still not clear. Even when I Solo Q and get tossed back into the lobby because someone dodged the text says "You and your premade have been returned to lobby" or "You are now back in chat lobby with your premade".

Also, are the rewards for Normal and Ranked matches? I only play ranked but I'm wondering if there are people smurfing normals just to get the rewards (seems like it would be easy to do).
