i am 36 years old, my reflex are bad, i play with 200 ping. i have played league for 4 years, was hard stuck in silver for 2 years. i was hard stuck in silver 4 once again in early season 7 when i played hundreds of jg games, around 50%. then i switched to one trick sona supp & getting 65% over 125 games, & i reached gold 5 for the very first time. i got boosted by the ardent meta.
this season, i was 47% on 93 games of sona, 38% on 61 games of nami, i am 47% overall winrate in 600 games this season. i started the season at silver 2, dropped to silver 5, & then reached gold 5 again despite having a 47% winrate, because i have 57% on 171 sej jg. i was in mental depression throughout the season.
& now i clear up my mind, switch to play another account in taiwan server (i live in HK so i got lower ping), i switched to play top that i have never played before. when i have a clearer mind & i get less confused of what i should be doing. i played garen top, with 56% on 37 games, 50% on 14 urgot games. i am still winless with the champs that i haven't played before.
i play 600 games this season, while i stopped playing this account since august. don't be afraid if u feel u don't have enough time to climb. it's just take constant effort.
here are my points:
-
get good on your skill & champ knowledge. that's a whole lot to learn for this game. but u will get better when u spend time. someone will climb faster, someone will climb slower, but it's ok for me.
-
when u have a clearer mind, your winrate will go up, maybe 3-5% with minimum 50 games on 1 champ. the champ winrate would not be accurate when u play just a couple of games. it takes a lot of games to show how good u are.
-
don't play when u r tired, tilted or depressed. u could still win under these conditions, but if u play in this mood, u will probably lose more games than normal. try to train up yourself for not getting tilted or frustrated. it's ok to take a break.
-
take a break if u need to.
-
be nice or mute all. being focus in the game is a good way to help.
to conclude, after all it's just a game. don't overreact, be nice, be patient, put effort in your skill, & spend time. & your win percentage will go up by a few % over the course of the season.
i know some high elo toxic players will troll my post, but u can choose what u believe. i don't have the reflex of those high elo players. so i am happy with where i am.
it's life.
