Teemo Ghost & Flash

Hey guys,

I'm a pretty new League player (Level 13) and I main Teemo.

There are alot of spell combinations I have been trying out on him, and recently I switched to using Ghost + Flash instead of the normal Ignite + Flash combination that I normally use. Now Ignite is nice and all for finishing off opponents, but I was thinking, with Ghost I could do the same thing if I went in with my crazy poison shot. Also, I use one of the enchantments on boots (I forgot which one) that gives an extra speed bonus to Flash, Ghost, and Teleport abilities. With that boost, I feel like it would allow me to run from really fast champions (like yi) while I am really low.

Any suggestions?

Since you're level 16, Ghost/Flash really isn't a bad idea because it's super safe. You lose kill potential, but with a champion like Teemo you're super vulnerable before level 6. Ghost/Flash sort of mitigates that. You're a lot less likely to carry games because you won't as easily get fed early on, but you're also a lot less likely to feed. It's all personal preference really.

Try stormrider's surge, once you hit 18 summoner lvl. You need to proc and it only lasts 3 seconds, but you don't need to pay for distortion to get 40% MS bonus, you can take ignite that gives you nice kill presure, it has only 10 seconds cooldown and grants you almost ridiculous slow resist, something ghost doesn't have. Against slow heavy teams you basically kill who you want and run away laughing despite being surrounded by 4 other champions.

It's a bit tricky to proc, but aa->q->aa->(bolt) on something squishy or not-very-tanky usually does the trick. 3 seconds might not be enough to outrun Yi past lvl 16 though.

I mean, you do have your w...what are the advantages to ghost over ignite? Just for the escapes? Imo just get item 3009 and follow your shroom path

I do it all the time. and i do it only on teemo. also might as well get the cdr boots

Well, with Boots of Swiftness becoming super cheap, I recommend getting them instead of ghost, which frees you up to take other summoner spells. I can highly recommend ignite as a good option against most champions I see top. Against tanks it helps you output more damage to put them down, and against champions like Fiora, you can stop lifesteal, and take advantage of the ones that keep trying to auto you while blinded.

Teleport is another good one, especially if you're unsure about the matchup you have. It helps you get back into lane faster if you get forced to go back to base. It's especially good because you can also teleport to your shrooms, or you can teleport to allies' wards if they need your help. It may take some practice, but it's a great summoner spell on teemo.

Another severely underrated spell is exhaust; A lot of people don't know that this spell does a LOT. It doesn't just slow; it also reduces attack speed, actually reduces damage directly from spells and autos, and increases damage received on that champion while the spell is on them. It's especially good against matchups that you're not confident with. Let's see Jax try to mess you up when he can't attack like a machine gun, and all of his damage is reduced by a percentage.
