And losing a game after getting autofilled while having 99lp is even more gross. imho I believe they should change it where if you have 97lp and above the next loss wont count OR at least give you autofill protection like when you're actually in series.
If they changed it to 97 lp, your new title would be "96lp is the most tilting thing ever." there has to be a cutoff point somewhere. 100 lp is where they chose.
At least at 97 lp, if i at least had autofill protection i wouldn't feel as tilted, the reason i said 97lp is because at 96 lp i actually don't feel AS tilted when its 97 and up.
Nah man. The most tilting thing is being midlane, building up a cs advantage maybe getting a turret plate or 2 while avoiding ganks, and then at ~12 minutes (usually before turret plates fall) having the 8-0 enemy botlane roam up and destroy you with zero pings from your team.

I disagree OP, that loss protection would only give the player less incentive to win. Rather, I think they should just round up the LP when at 95 or above
I did my placements and was gonna need one more win to avoid promos and I got a Shaco support who didn't care since he was autofilled, then I played my next game and won only to be 99 LP since I didn't have the placements giving me boosted LP gain. Luckily, my next win after let me skip promos, but god damn, that woulda been awful, 3+ extra games just because I got one troll support.
