Demotion series
This is just my suggestion but I feel there should be some type of demotion series set once a player gets to 0 points. With the current set up it kind of discouraging if you are at around 9 points and lose 5 games you get demoted twice. But in order to get promoted back to where you once were you have to win about 12 games because of the promotion series. This is considering you lose roughly 22 points for consecutive losses and gain roughly 17 points for a win. The goal of the system is to keep the player winning about 50% of their matches so winning 2 and losing 2 means you are roughly in the league you are supposed to be, but losing 5 and winning 5 is still 50% but the loss completely outweighs the gain in this case.
Some pros:
- Provides a final test to determine if the player should be demoted.
- Lessens the impact of a bad luck spree.
- Provides a sort of warning for the player to take a break when they are on a losing spree.
Some cons:
- May cause players to troll knowing they are not in their demotion series.
- Will have a negative impact on players who struggle in series.
