Hi guys im plat 3 player mainly play tanky ap top like swain and maokai. I found irelia extremely hard to deal with, not saying she is op but hard to handle. yes irelia is pretty weak before she get tri but once she get that item its like BOOM and she can just burst you down even if you are leading. I found her E very annoying, some people claims (she can only slow you if you have lower hp), but remembet one thing, top lane is where trades take place, if you try to hit a spell on her she will just dash a range minion and stun you, active W, ult you and dash you again. She may not be able to kill you just from that one round buf then she can heal and force you to loss cs. Can someone tell me how to deal with her? As im getting highet eloi met some seriously good irelia player. If im playing vs riven i know how to bait her combo and trade back, but irelia is like a tanky assassin(almost cant cc her due to her passive), if i build tank she will keep bully me in lane and if i build dmg she will just one combo finish me. looking for help from senpai! tell me some of her cons！

The best way to deal with her is to change your picks. She has built in sustain, playing an AP against her will just open up Spirit Visage as a fantastic item pick. Try picking an AD champ that builds a fair amount of sustain and doesn't have to rely on CC. You don't have to kill her, you just have to push her out of lane.

Irelia is a Fighter, the entire class should always be better than you at fighting, yea Riven is easy cause she just sucks so much when her ult is down. However majority of other fighters should have the 1v1 advantage.

Against Irelia armor isn't very effective, what you wanna do is buy hp. Things to lower her attack speed are nice to but mostly just get HP. I assume you're already getting RoA, maybe consider a Rylais as well.the slow can help you escape and the hp helps you survive.

Irelia is like a timed sustained damage champion, so she still wants to fight for longer periods of time, even if the damage seems high, it's consistent while her W is active which lasts a decent amount of time. Therefor those planning to challenge Irelia should probably have better sustained damage or be able to burst her down 100-0 before she gets a hit.

This is a class that specializes in dueling, there isn't much more say as far as that goes, abuse her weaker early game maybe.
