Can someone explain smurfing to me and why Riot allows it? I have played so many ranked games against smurfs and some I win but a lot of them we lose. I don't see how it can possibly be fair to anyone who legitimately wants to climb the ranked ladder in a lower elo. If you type smurf in the boards search, all the results are people asking for some high level smurf to play with them or a high level person asking if anyone wants him to smurf with them. Which we all know there is money involved. I don't know how Riot allows that. Every other game bans that kind of play. We know games are toxic enough as it is and that makes people quit; then new people trying to learn the game have that as well as playing against smurfs...

It's like when you're all grown up and have to pay these things called "taxes" and work at a "job". You then enter an existential crisis as you think about all the hours you wasted playing League and why you're working minimum wage

So it's like a time machine to relive your happy days of league. Also idk if others do this but my cousin has done it once cuz he lives in another region and I'm NA so he made a new account when he came over.

Probably, if they decided it wasn't allowed anymore, they wouldn't have any way to enforce it.

Still, they need to do something in order to save the competitive integrity of their game. Matchmaking is bad enough even before you add smurfs and the people who they've elo-boosted to the mix.

Its not fair at all, but ptherwise riot would habe to admit that they only have 30. 000.000 instead of 100.000.000 players, they wont do that.
