What can i do about bad teammates and how to avoid them?

I'm a silver 4 player and i recently got out of bronze, i usually play top lane champs likeRiven or Aatrox and depending on the matchup i might play Renekton or Garen. This is how games usually go, i farm steadily and increasing my cs and punish my laner when they make a mistake. I check the map to see if my team needs me or if the jungler is somewhere like bot or mid and then i go for the all in. 80% of the time this works and i win my lane, with like a 3 kill lead and about 20-40 cs more than the other top laner. Then i hear an allied has been slain and i look up to see what the scoreboard is like.

My Bot Caitlyn 0/7/0 Lux 2/8/1 My Mid Katarina 2/3/1 My Jungler XinZhao 3/6/0 Me the top Aatrox 4/1/0 and got the first tower my team got

Their bot Vayne 9/1/4 Morgana 3/2/6 Their mid Ahri 2/2/2 Their jungler Jax 4/1/1 Their top Riven 1/4/0

Before i upload this post i just want to say that i'm not here to flame anyone or make anyone angry, i just want to know some red flags that indicate that i should dodge a match instead of picking my champ and pray. I have been in my promos to silver 3 about 3 times now and i always come close to promoting up then go on a massive losing streak because my bot doesn't know how to last hit a minion and then flames our jungler because he didn't gank them when they were up on the enemies tower.

Unfortunately there is not much you can do about bad teammates. The only thing you can do is utilize op.gg to check your teammates stats and dodge if you get teammates on either:

  • autofilled roles
  • champs with negative kda and/or winrate
  • negative winrate overall
