The idea of community created champion reworks. A possible experiment on Riot's part.
Now, before you leave/down vote me immediately without a second glance, please hear me out on this. When I say "community created champion reworks" I do not mean a single person. I mean a group of people, all working together on a champion rework. We, as players, may actually have better insight as to how good or how bad certain champion's states are in than those at Riot. I will use Mordekaiser as an example, as he's gotten the short end of the stick (or should I say mace) for a while. Riot has said before that they don't like what current Mordekaiser is like, they didn't like how old Mordekaiser was like, and now they're back to the drawing board on him. Mordekaiser is difficult to balance with the current abilities he has, so how is Riot to make a proper rework out of him? Well, one should look no further than the community. There are more than a few highly passionate people on these Boards who I would assume wouldn't turn down a chance to actually impact how their favorite Man of Metal functions in the League. The now famous Malicious Metal has made multiple posts that have gained a lot of traction on Mordekaiser and how he functions, his identity, and many other aspects of him. So, if Riot can't seem to find a way to make the Master of Metal work, why not let the community give it a try? And no, just because they give us a chance to rework a champion doesn't mean they HAVE to use it, I think a good idea would be to have Riot make a reworked Mordekaiser kit on their own, and compare it to the community made one to see who's would function better in a real game.
Clearly this system would have a lot of problems, and I am never expecting it to be implemented. But when I look around the Boards and find people who are genuinely passionate about their favorite champions, I can't see them doing anything to make them overly broken or try to hurt the game overall if they were allowed a crack at a champion design rework. You don't have to agree with me, and I'm not expecting a lot of people to think this is a good idea. But I implore you to actually consider this idea, and really think about whether or not this could actually work. Thank you for your time.
