How to play against irelia as riven?

Hello there,im writing this beckause of the one poor game i had against her,i started game with 2 levels up than her bcs she was afk for 2 minutes but i still got rekt,she was 12 3. I wanna ask how do you win against irealia,do you use the full fast combo,or go for short trades,and what items should i build against her,beackause i feel like its the problem with build.

Is now a good time to ask that question? I heard Irelia is in line for a rework this year, so the answers may change at some point. Anyway, I expect Ninja Tabi to be a good first start in that matchup.

Irelia should be straight an easy matchup after few matches of playing.

Start dorans shield or 2 dorans blades for that extra health and damage. Never start long sword unless you are riven god.
Early levels you win and at 6 you can take her with ignite as well.
