Soraka bug?

hey all played a game against a blitz as a support soraka a few games ago at least 2 times which i can show in a replay to prove i lured blitz into walking towards me and anticipating the grab i hit e and retreat behind minions when i cast the q he stays in the zone and cast q with the animation coming well after he was already inside the zone and he didnt leave it at all am i missing something here? he should still have silence shouldnt he?
