Hextech Chest Unboxes and Masteries 6 and 7

Hello. As you can see what I've written in the title I'm here to talk about Hextech Chests and Masteries. Recently, I had the option of becoming Mastery 6 with Nautilus. While I was happy to do so, I thought it would do so automatically with the icon and making me Mastery 6 without needing an extra champion shard and blue essence. What's the point of that??? It honestly makes no sense. For Mastery's 1-5 you require no champion shards and blue essence. Sure it may be to prove you actually play the champion but if you get the champion to Mastery 6 it should be enough explanation.

My second concern is Hextech Chests. I have had the champion Fiddlesticks since the near beginning of my account creation. I recently got three key fragments, combined them, and opened a hextech chest and got a Fiddlesticks champion shard. A champion I already own, I got a shard of that. one could argue it's for mastery 6 plus blue essence but that's just absurd. Blue essence for me is so hard to come by.

TLDR: RIOT please give me champion skins of champions I own and make the Mastery 6 and 7 come to your champion without having to use precious skin shards and essence to make the mastery icons, it's dumb.
