riot making me quit playing riven cus of to many other stronger champs on top lane...

So i've been playing this game since season 3-4 ish but i've not played it that frequent untill recently. I loved the concept of Rengar and playing him jungle but there was a time when he got reworked and i dropped him entirely. Then i switched from many lanes to many champions to see what was the right fit for me. After a while rengar got brought back to his own self and i played the sht out of him. I wasn't really a big fan of playing ranked that time so i just played some normals with friends as jgl rengar. Then after a while I realised I wanted to get better at the game and take a shot a playing ranked. So last 2 years I made it to silver 1 and I got tilted as fck cus i couldn't carry in the jungle cus my team kept inting is ass of yada yada yada, also i'm clearly not good enough, so i stopped playing ranked for now.

Sooooo i went to play normals again and the story goes on :D. But then, a few months ago from now, I was thinking to myself: "y'know what would be really fun?" "I've always wanted to learn Riven but i was never good enough to play her". So i started playing her! So eventually i became better with her, learned to fast q, animation cancle and started winning the lane against different champsions. but there was one thing that really triggered me and was bothering me so much. When i was in champselect and i picked riven and my enemy team picked some of these following champions: Renekton, Jax, Jayce, Kled, Kennen or Darius. I knew i would lose. y'know why? cus i just can't win against them. Most of the champs in lane are skill match-ups. But i just couldn't win! Then i was thinking to myself: "alright, well if i can't win 1v1 against them then lets change up my thought process a bit", i started watching good riven players like: AdrianRiven, Viper, BoxBox and sometimes Revenge. But mostly AdrianRiven, cus i love his playstyle and he is in my eyes the best (NA) mechanically playing riven. Also begane watching Skillcapped videos about minion wave management and well actually just the basics of top lane :P.

So now with all my knowledge and mustering up my confidence, lets head into some normal games and see how it works out! So i just spammed riven on top. and played a lot of matches, Lost a lot, but also won a lot :). But her is where it gets well hard for me: If i play against a opponent who is mechanically on point with his champ (at my lvl, which is not that high, but y'know its what i can handle), i just lose! and its so unfuriating! for example if i play against a renekton who makes good use of minion wave management, holds his fury, does a short trade and then backs off, then i just can't seem to win as riven... So what does my tiny silver brain think? alright maybe i should adjust my playstyle, lets freeze the lane infront of my tower and hope my jungle will come top and gank me one time so i can get ahead of him. Meanwhile, renekton getting all the sc and poking me from time to time, starting to get me low... And yes ofc, I use my abilities to safely farm or to get cs and back off safely using e. Trust me i'm thinking of the safest way possible to stay alive and not getting chunked down to 20% and then get tower dove by renek. Just guess what happens, cus i'm placed in bronze atm, my jgl is stupid as f*ck... he won't come top, he just farms and wastes his time on other lanes, maybe getting a kill but most of the time just doing nothing. Also i tried slow pushing to punish him when he trades, but eh, renekt just heals everything a back up when he uses fury q :D!!!

So here i am today, conflicted with the following problem...: If i play riven at my current lvl against the champions i mentioned, at the same (mechanically speaking) lvl as me, i just won't win. So how can i enjoy playing riven on the top lane, when people just think: "oh wait a sec, riven is strong, let me just pick darius, renekton or poppy to shit on her". Where is the fun in that? How can i deal with this problem? How can i still play riven, which i really love and enjoy playing because she is so fun and not get shit on in lane? i mean people will just say: "git gud kid lmao LUL". But look at a challenger riven player against a challenger renekton player, the renekton will win! Ofc there are times the riven player will win with good ganks and if the renekton player makes a mistake and get punished hard by it lol. But AdrianRiven even picks aftershock against renekton. "alright dude but what about darius? he isn't that bad?", well yeah i kinde agree with you, but there is still only a small window to beat him. if he started q lvl 1, you can try and FB him. if he started w, you are fked and can't trade with him. "just engage when he uses q dude...", when I do that, he e's me gets a free w with some auto's then i'm bleeding like crazy, when i finished trading back he has his q up again and just chunks some more hp from me. such a fun match-up!

Well peeps, I hope you can help me out with this problem. what should i do? just keep trying and maybe i'll outplay my opponent eventually at bronze/silver-ish lvl? or should i just play other champions and ruin my fun..? I wish people did more in depth guides for riven, its hard to find those nowadays (als not outdated), i watched adrain's streams when he did educational streams, but those didn't last forever and he nearly didn't play against all the different match-ups on top lane. I just don't wanne be that beta b*tch that just picks the meta champs :(
