Let's have a serious discussion about Dynamic Queue

A common topic on the boards is the rabid distaste for the dynamic queue and a demand soloq. I Personally like DQ, but I understand where the anger comes from. League is a team game where coordination and communication trumps any kind of solo action. Lone wolves were already at a disadvantage during the solo q days since even then individual merit could be trumped by a team failure. With the majority of teams now able to be premade it stands that the divide has grown.

But I really believe that most of the solutions suggested in these topics aren't really viable or...to be blunt, any better. Bringing back solo q just brings us back to where we started which is only slightly better for lone wolves but much worse for people with friends in groups larger than 2 but smaller than 5. At this point, killing DQ (directly by replacing it or indirectly by creating a sq option) would cause more harm for riot then to do nothing. Which would explain the utter silence from them on any of these topics.

Wouldn't a better solution be to improve communication between random players so the only edge premades have is that they know each other better? More descriptive pings. ingame voicechat Anything really, just give the guys playing solo a way communicate on equal footing.

I mean why should we cut the tall poppy when we could grow the rest?
