If you know you're on tilt, DON'T PLAY RANKED.

This should be obvious but apparently it isn't. This last game, our top laner announced in champ select that he had just been demoted to Gold so he was going to play poorly. Our bot lane duo agreed that they were on losing streaks and would probably lose. Our mid was probably also tilted, but I couldn't tell because he was speaking only in Chinese.

And yeah, I would have loved to dodge if it wasn't the first game of my Gold promos. Top lane went 0/3 in the first 10 minutes to a Riven (who had 4 levels on him at 20 minutes.) I didn't play well either, but for chrissakes, if you know you're likely to lose a game don't queue up for ranked. This shit should be obvious by now, 6 years into League.

When I'm on tilt, I go play against bots as a heavy AD/AP character. Killing things makes me feel better.

I just started playing ranked, and I had a couple matches with people like that.

I was being upbeat and optimistic, and they said something like. "Your positive attitude is making me sick. Ranked has not broken your soul yet." While it made me laugh, it kinda makes me sad that people enter the game feeling that much doom.

I don't feel like I've been doing my best though, but I think it's because I'm getting used to ranked. My CS could use some more work, and I need to focus on dealing with counter picks better. I think it's been nice so far though. Seeing these people made me realize how important it is to step back for a bit if you've had a few losses, or any problematic match win or lose.

People just use tilt as an excuse. In reality there is no point to inform anyone about you being on tilt. It should be between you and you. If you recognized that you're tilting, good for you, stop playing while it lasts. But throwing the word around every time something goes wrong, is completely worthless and lame. Too bad that a lot of people are starting to do that.

Couldn't stop laughing after reading this.

People have the right to play whatever they damn well please WHENever they damn well please

When I am on a loosing streak I stop for awhile because I am not having fun, but that's me

If someone wants to keep going to get that win then good on them!

You have no right to dictate if people should play or not depending on their mood

It's their decision not yours

I have to admit: sometimes after a crushing, demoralizing and frustrating defeat I feel that I just have to redeem myself. It's not smart; it's probably caused even more frustration than the previous defeats. But I understand people who queue up for another ranked.

I feel like dodging shouldn't make you lose a series/promos match

So the moral of this story is that riven should be deleted right? upvoted

I'm always likely to lose a game considering I can't carry end game.

Ranked is for learning not climbing. Climbing is a result of you learning. Maybe people just want to learn instead of goof off in normals.

I lost 12 games in a row and demoted from Plat to Gold but I just kept playing...its a great feeling when you get that first win again finally.

Even the pros will warm-up before playing ranked i.e. they don't just start playing ranked willy-nilly

People should be allowed to dodge...
