What if...

So, I've been thinking about the mage updates, Vel'Koz in particular. He is my main, and I think the changes, even though he doesn't have new spells or whatever, they change his playstyle drastically. But, I am not here to talk about the MYMU. What I wanted to talk about was: How do you think some champions would have ended up, if certain other champions wouldn't have existed before?

As an example I use Vel'Koz and Veigar: Vel'Koz is, besides sick lazors, all about research and gathering of knowledge. So wouldn't it be thematically fitting for him to have the AP stacking ability of Veigar?

I don't want to propose any changes, hell no. I just want to think about how it would have been, if...
