Indeed I 100 % AGREE, can't win them all friend.
Lets look at your team and the enemy team.
I'v never seen a Garen be useless around the 35-40 min mark and not being annoying as a full tank, give him time he will scale as a monster as the new garen is weaker with his Scaling W.
Elise does some nasty % Hp enemy dmg and will become a monster with items. Most Darius's will build tank after 
so the % dmg will only go up the more he builds.
Lee sin is annoying but in a late game team fight is meh as at that point no one is off split pushing and it solely relies on a coordinated team fight instead of picking someone off.
Veigar behind is no real worry as he scales insanely powerful as the more AP the Lux builds the stronger he will be to blow her up.
Simple answer their team is a better team fighting team if someone gets picked off but when push comes to shove your team should be much stronger,

Garen and Elise should work on Darius while the Cait and Naut kit back off Lee as most lee players will want to keep up their reputation of picking players off even when its 50 mins in and he becomes less viable, use that time to delete him LEE SIN ELIMINATED
Most ADC's will stay close to their Top and Support as their the best at keeping them safe so in most cases they Elise or Garen will be off in a 2v3 but in the earlier case the Veigar just got done with the Lux should be able to put off some Damage to spook the ADC away from the 2v3 and from then just focus the Darius with everything you have FIRE ALL MISSILES boom DARIUS ELIMINATED
At that point the Garen should be still somewhat alive if he built tanky to atleast do a Q combo as Jinx is a great adc she needs a full team to help her be viable so no problem in dealing with her and braum or atleast die in doing so to kill the jinx at that point JINX and BRUAM ELIMINATED.
