Auto cast Abilities < Manual use

I'm not sure, honestly I feel that auto casting abilities is kind of a draw back in a way for laning and such where you want to focus on farm and harass to you opponent I am a manual user because i find that I can harass much better with better timed placement and as well as strafing out the team fights, kinda like when i played Syndra's manual spells vs Karthus auto Q instead of clicking to place, and its the same for me scaled down to melee champs from zeds Q to Yasuos Q. Is there any perks to the auto cast thing that anyone can tell me so i can make sure that i can make an accurate desicion of what i chose.

I assume you are referring to having quick-cast enabled/disabled.

The main advantage is speed.

generally auto casting is faster and easier to use, it also kind of forces you to remember skill ranges and width and stuff which can also be helpful when playing against that champion.

I think it really comes down to what you feel best on, especially in lower leagues. There are some abilities I absolutely cannot use standard cast for. Kat's E, just as an example. I think it's a wonky ability to not have on quick cast.

But I don't think you're losing much in lower leagues by deciding to stay standard cast while you're learning. It's certainly not "better" by any means, but I'm also not sure I'd say it's objectively worse in all scenarios. The time you save is like... really really small, especially if you're like half the playerbase and don't know your ranges or cast times.

It might even help you to stay on standard. Not many people will admit that though.

autocast is faster, for instance I sed to miss every darius ult because i died JSUT before it landed, now it instantly hits, and I can go into ŕage and not die and win.

Except for very few skills where it's open to debate (Rumble's Ult, typically), Quickcast WITH range indicators (an option to check) is clearly superior to Normalcast. Now, if you want to go all the way to Quickcast without indicators, I think it's a matter of taste and playstyle.

When I first started playing I had everything as normal cast (that's probably the default setting anyway, I never touched it). As I got more comfortable with things I changed some to autocast with indicator. Now I use autocast/indicator for Q,W,E abilities and normal cast for R. I think I'm good enough at things now (and still with indicator) to be able to quickcast most things and I have noticed it does makes things faster, especially a champion that can be really nasty throwing out all spells at once (eg Lux's Q>E>R>E). I leave the ult R on normal cast so I don't accidentally waste it and I don't think I lose much time compared to quickcast ( like Nami, Lux or Caitlyn ult)

Remember that if you use quickcast with indicator you can still cancel most spells! It doesn't force you to use them once you press so you can bring up the indicator whenever you want.

certain champs require it. certain champs function better without it. A champion like Ryze or Akali or katarina require quick cast to be played effectively. A champion like lux or xerath - it's not going to make any difference. Basically auto cast is best for anyone that is spamming a low cd spell and I wouldn't play champs with those kinds of spells without autocast.
