Ranked is now the default??

I am just wondering why the default game style is ranked??? I feel like the default should be practice because you will get a lot of people accidentally finding themselves in ranked games, if you are going to play ranked, you have the intent to play ranked and that's something you look at and click on. If you are just playing casually, your instinct will just have you click play because it is casual. I don't know, maybe not a huge deal, just a little annoying.
