after match point allocation (solo queue)
Hello everyone.
So, it seems like teams are extremely bad matched in several games. Often, on one team there are one or two feeders who make it impossible for said team to win its game. However, at the end of the game, all players lose or win about the same points. Is that fair? I don't think so!
There is a rating for every player's performance implemented into the game since several seasons. Why not alllocate points after the match in a different way, depending on the individual's performance? The teams are randomly assigned, so giving the score to all in the same way seems not to be a good way of allocating points.
How about the following way of scoring after a match (in solo queue): After the game, the winning team gets a pool of 80 (say) and the losing team of -80 points. These points are distributed by performance in the game. So someone who totally fed, got no objecitves and ruined the game for his teammates could get something like -30, while someone who did really well in his role but just had bad luck with his assigned teammates might only lose 5 points. The same for winning points.
I feel that this would be a much fairer distribution of points and would minimize the frustration stemming from feeders on your team. Also, people who continuously perform bad would not be carried into a too high ELO, simply by being lucky with their teammates. So, this way of scoring would take the specifics of solo queue much more into account than the current system does.
What do you think?
Cheers!
