Fill right now means support, I wanna do every role but right now I really can only do 2 at a time. Fill means "idc give me whatever" and that's what it's treated as but still... I'd like a 20%x5 option.
I kinda wish fill worked more like that instead of fill = support queue. It's more there to fulfill the need of the system and the queue times than the fill player.
I guess if we really wanted we could roll our own dice with six being reroll or use some RNG website I'm sure exists and let that decide lul
Me I just went from a fill player to a mid/top/jungle player so I can maximize my power over the game. So the system actually lost this fill player from the changes. Before accommodating your teammates often gave your side comfort advantage if you were truly a jack of all trades. No reason to do that anymore. So I dumped playing bot lane seriously so I don't get saddled with 1v3 lanes or have the rest of the map have bot lane fiestas over my own influence.
The whole idea of fill is to play whatever is needed to get in select as fast as possible. What should be implemented is having a checkbox for all five positions and what you're willing to play. If you want to play 4 out of 5 roles, then you should be given the option to do that. In terms of percentages, the system can only allocate based on what is needed. You can't have a 20% chance to get all positions because there isn't an even distribution of players queuing for each role.
Though I agree that fill doesn't do what it intended to do, you can simulate that by randomly selecting the positions you queue for.
