Not everything CertainlyT did was a distaster.
DISCLAIMER: Yasuo, Zoe, and Kalista when she's meta are not busted, just not fun to play against. I just want to get this out of the way. I do not think in any way they are OP. And I'm not shaming people who play them--Zoe is fun as hell when you're the one playing her, and I've put too many games into her to call myself a good person.
So people are pissed at CertainlyT. The 3 champs I mentioned above all have their own major issues that I don't want to get into. That's another debate--like, seriously, I don't want people discussing that here.
What I'm doing is briefly shedding light to what CertainlyT has done RIGHT. Here are two big examples: 1: The Warwick Rework CertainlyT helped work on this rework. He helped turn a one-dimensional champ into something innovative and interesting, and it was widely regarded as a success. 2: Thresh CertainlyT, among his many champions widely considered to be poorly executed, also worked on Thresh. From what I've heard from others, Thresh is thought of as a revolutionary support. He destroyed the notion that "supports don't do anything" and became the first real playmaking support, making the role more fun for many. Also, I don't see people complaining about him all the time, which is a plus.
Also, one thing you can't deny... While some of CertainlyT's gameplay decisions range from questionable to bad, the champs he's worked on almost all have astounding visual designs and themes, and the kits do fit well with the characters. You cannot deny that his champs are well designed thematically.
So... that's my case. Whether you love or hate CertainlyT (I feel like I'm in the rare middle ground) I hope you can consider my points.
