After finally playing some ADC I have come to the conclusion
I will no longer get tilted and troll pick when I get autofilled support, because it feels so bad getting shit like Wukong or Riven as your support.

I've had Camille, Riven and Irelia Supports in the past and had a blast playing with them.
If they actually play like a Support and play to win it can be good.
Both of those can legitimately support. They just build Targons > Cleaver > Locket and try to zone over actually starting fights unless they get ahead.
Most diver champions can do something similar, so long as they have some form of peel/counterengage.
You probably just had teammates who were actually salty over being autofilled and trolling instead of trying to win with an offmeta pick.
Even if you do get locked into it, there's plenty of choices for supporting.
You can pick literally anyone with CC/healing/shielding. Max that ability first and boom, instant support. Even Fiddlesticks can be a support if you play him correctly.
Support is not an unfun role. You just have to make the right picks and keeping the team alive should be it's own reward.
Whatever you're confident with, go for it. Just remember to take advice from others if it seems reasonable. I've seen a lot of supports just throw games away because they think they're never wrong and don't need to do anything different.
It feels bad getting an adc that doesnt do any damage as a support top laner or any one in the front line in general. Not adcs attacking and doing no damage. adcs not attacking running around in circles talking about they are dodging things that cant get through 2-3 front liners and doing no damage. Thus the front liners drawing the damage becomes wasted. Mages do the same thing when they dont contribute auto attacks during their spells cooldown time.
